The Performing Arts Department presents The Masters Series: An evening with the legendary Zoe Caldwell in the Schimmel Theater from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on April 23.

Renowned for portraying charismatic women of power, Zoe Caldwell has won four Tony Awards for her performances on Broadway in Tennessee Williams’ Slapstick Tragedy, The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie, Medea, and in the original production of Master Class in which she portrayed opera diva Maria Callas.

She has also won an Obie Award and will soon be publishing the book I Will Be Cleopatra (W.W. Norton). She recently appeared in the film Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close and starred in David Adjmi’s play Elective Affinities.
